Dirt Devil Kurv?

Yeah, I got a Dirt Devil Kurv for christmas, but it didn't come with instructions. How do I change the filter, empty it, and stuff like that? Any advice/help would be great because right now all I can do is turn it on. Thnx!!!

You should be able to get a manual from the manufacturer. I find it rather strange that yours was missing.

If you look your machine over, you probably will find buttons and levers that don't have anything to do with turning your machine on and off, though.

How to find old style Louis Vuitton bags?

I visited the Louis Vuitton website and had found classic designs however, my friend owns this Louis Vuitton Damier messenger bag that's not showcased in the website.

Casper, it's a personal preference, if you must know. It's not low-grade leather, it's actually GREAT and durable leather--one that will last you a lifetime. My grandmother's Louis Vuitton still holds up a stack of things and it's ancient--if the hardware gets skewed and you have the original license, you can actually get it replaced. Yes it's expensive but it's called a LUXURY bag for a reason. Louis Vuitton may have a lot of replicas but they have superb workmanship, a bag collector cannot deny this although it's no longer as high quality as it used to due to the previously mentioned reason.

Other than that, please keep your personal preferences to yourself if you can't PROVIDE A SUBSTANTIAL ANSWER. I respect PETA and I deeply disagree with animal cruelty but I'm not anal about leather or eating meat.

In a previous article, the basic features of some different models of ultra light or micro light aircraft were discussed along with unique virtues in varieties of design, in this follow up article the technical features of the most popular engines used in them will be looked into briefly.  

The Austrian built Rotax machine is by far the most frequent engine used in this type of application because of the great efficiency of the range. It is said that BMW has recently built a very efficient machine (hundred and five horsepower) to be used instead of some Rotax engines at a very reasonable price.  

The Rotax engine range begins at the very basic Rotax 447 model with a 40-horse power output, air-cooled, two stroke to the top of the range Rotax 914 turbo, water-cooled, four stroke with a 115-horse power output.  

The higher-powered Rotax engines are seen in a wide variety of planes in the high speed and dual seat versions where these engines being two stroke or four stroke are mainly water-cooled. The water-cooled engine may have a great advantage over the basic air-cooled version by the fact that a thermostat controls the working temperature of the engine, optimizing power, fuel consumption and minimizing carbon deposits in the combustion chamber of the engine.  

One minor disadvantage of the popular Rotax engines is the fact that it is normally not provided with a mixture control adjustment feature which means that if the pilot / owner wants to fly away from home at different altitudes, the carburetor has to be opened to change main jets with other sizes to have optimal performance of the engine, specific for the altitude he intends to fly. The jet sizes normally work or calibrate at three thousand feet steps. The other restriction here is that, when he flies at say five thousand feet above sea level with his jets fitted for that altitude and he decides to go to ten thousand feet a. s. l., his engine will not perform at its optimum power output, the combustion and exhaust temperatures will drop and high carbon deposits will form inside the engine. If this high altitude flying is continued for extended periods, severe power reduction will be experienced. When this happens, the cylinder heads of the engine have to be removed to clean the excessive carbon deposits inside the combustion chamber and on top of the pistons. If the engine is fitted with a turbo charger, the mixture and altitude will not be a problem at all.  

A very handy modification to the Rotax carburetor may be a feature to enable the pilot to adjust his mixture as altitude increases. Surely, the Rotax factory must have thought about the idea but might have decided against the idea for a very good reason. The engine is used for recreational purposes most of the time and training to maintain proper mixture settings may be one of the reasons why such a modification is not considered.  

Apparently, the new BMW aviation engine entering the market is provided with a fuel injection system, most probably with a computer, monitoring and adjusting mixture, taking mixture control responsibility away from the pilot.

4870 compared to 8800 ultra size and power?

Ok so I currently have a 8800 Ultra and it barley fits i have an 700 watt power Supply is a 4870 about the same size as a 8800 ultra and is it upgrading to a 4870 going to give me better FPS results? thanks

I've got the hoover vacuuming blues?

I have a 2nd hand Hoover Spirit upright baggless vacuum. It looks kind of like this except more 1992ish-- http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/3104JVYKKZL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

Did the BAND (the rubber thing that attaches to the motor that makes the brushes twirl) break? Sounds that way if you aren't getting any brush action. You probably need to replace that, AND make sure that there's not a load of crap packed up in the small tube below where the extendable hose goes into the base of the unit.

Think about spending money on a Roomba vacuum. So long as you keep the chamber emptied and the brushes WELL cleaned, they pick up a lot of stuff.

Finding toxic black mold in your home is no picnic.

It sounds horrible: Like a computer-generated monster in a summer tentpole movie, it crawls across the landscape, engulfing a screaming populace until a plucky scientist finds a solution. On a small scale, that's actually what it looks like, too: A slimy, greenish-black mass that lives in the darkest, wettest corners of your home. To science, black mold known as Stachybotrys atra, and it can deal substantial damage to your home and health.

But don't get too scared. Black mold can't grow opposable thumbs and attack you in your sleep or use up all your cell phone minutes. But it can get into your lungs, sinuses and digestive system. Because mold releases spores to reproduce, the air in a black mold-infested building gets choked with those spores, which are harmful if inhaled or swallowed.

Here are seven things to look for if you suspect you have a black mold problem.

A flooded or leaking basement. Imagine this: A big storm hits, overwhelming your basement sump pump. The pump breaks and your basement floods. You sigh, drain the basement, and get a new pump. But the flood created prime conditions for black mold. Even if you think you pumped out all the floodwaters, if any wood or concrete soaked up a lot of water, that might be enough to allow black mold to thrive. Check your basement regularly for leaks as well -- sometimes, a trickle or a little condensation is all it takes.

Musty or mildewy odors. Black mold has a very specific smell. You might associate it with a house that hasn't been lived in for a long time. If you smell it, look around in damp, humid places with little ventilation.

Trees in the rain gutters. When rain gutters have tiny trees growing out of them -- or any plants at all -- they're almost certainly blocked. If that's the case, water can seep through the ceiling and walls, dampen your home's insulation, and create a breeding ground for black mold.

Allergic reactions, despite a seeming lack of allergens. Most of us know what we're allergic to, and we know whether it's in our environment or not. If you're sneezing and wheezing and there's not a cat to be found anywhere, you might be experiencing the effects of black mold. This is doubly likely if the other people in your home have similar symptoms.

Warped floors. Sometimes water collects in the gaps between poorly sealed floor slats. And if your floors become warped this way, it's a good bet you have black mold as well. You'll need to replace the floorboards, so it might be a good opportunity to hire a mold removal company.

Peeling paint or discolored walls.Yellow stains on your walls or ceiling is a good sign of excess moisture. And excess moisture is a good sign of black mold. Look for black or green discolorations on the walls. If you can actually see it growing, the health risk is pretty strong.

Unexplained headaches. Headaches are one of the most common symptoms of black mold poisoning. And if you have frequent headaches you can't explain, feel dizzy, or have trouble concentrating, call a doctor. After that, call a black mold remediation specialist, who can test for mold in your home. You may have Sick Building Syndrome, a collection of ailments stemming from mold exposure.

Coughing up blood. The most advanced symptom of black mold poisoning, this is a good reason to get yourself to a hospital immediately. There are any number of reasons you may cough up blood, but if your doctor tells you you've been inhaling the compounds that result from a black mold infestation, it's a good bet your home or workplace is affected.

At least every couple of months, I take whatever can be removed from my vacuum off. I take a whisk broom and clean out every part that I can. I know I sound like I have OCD, but I have a small Shark vacuum and I've even used it to get to the hard to reach places!!! Once it's all cleaned out and put back together, it works like a charm.

It even a container with an "absolute" vacuum would have electromagnetic waves of every wavelength... where do these waves come from?
Are they produced by the surrounding material or would they still be there if we hypothetically had an absolute void?

The energy is produced by pairs of particles that come into existence spontaneously with positive and negative charge. The energy to create them is literally 'borrowed' from the vacuum. The particles travel a distance (usually pretty short) and then collide, destroying each other and repaying the debt to the vacuum.

This constant creation and destruction of particles is what creates the electromagnetic waves. Between the Casimir plates, some of the created particles can escape before reuniting with their counterparts. This decreases the electromagnetic waves and causes the 'negative' pressure that allows the plates to move closer together (as the higher pressure from outside pushes them).

It's theorized that some sort of similar spontaneous particle creation is responsible for the event that resulted in the Big Bang, where energy/matter literally came 'out of nowhere', much to the dismay of those who believe something cannot come out nothing.

Also, 'Hawking Radiation' which is produced in the vicinity of a black hole is believed to be caused when one of a pair of self-created particles ventures over the event horizon, and is swallowed up by the black hole. The other particle remains outside the event horizon, and escapes into space, where it looks like radiation emitted by the black hole.

So, the 'empty' vacuum of space itself creates the particles, and thus the waves that push on the plates. So-called 'empty' space contains a huge amount of vacuum energy, which might be better called 'potential' energy that may have played an important role in the beginning and development of the earliest stages of our Universe.

EDIT: Because of the duality of particles and waves, and because we're talking about electromagnetic fields here, the 'particle' would be more akin to an electron. Miele Vacuum Cleaner bags?

I love my Miele Vacuum cleaner but the bags are expensive. I found this site http://www.vacbagdirect.com.au/p/672454/vacuum-cleaner-bags-to-suit-miele-vb036.html that sells non genuine vac bags for my miele. I can get more than twice the amount for half the price of the real ones.
Can buying the non genuine ones really damage the vacuum cleaner? Or is it ok to go ahead and get the cheaper fakes?

THE BLADE OR THE PULLEY WILL UNSCREW OFF OF THE MOTOR SHAFT. I CAN'T REMEMBER IF IT IS CW OR CCW BUT IF THE MOTOR RUNS CLOCKWISE FACING SHAFT THE PULLEY SHOULD BE REMOVABLE BY TURNING CCW. I CHANGED MY MIND......CHANGE LAST THREE WORDS TO ..."BY TURNING CW".
