A newly reorganized garage ranked number one with almost one third of dads for home improvement wanted, beating out house painting, gutter cleaning or replacement and new fencing. Dads all over the world complain that there is not enough room in the garage for their items, everyone else's stuff, and the cars. The US Department of Energy reports 25% of people with a 2 car garage, do not park any car in there and 32% park only one.

Fathers have the lawnmowers, weed whackers, snow blowers, tools, and vehicle accessories. Then there is everything else... kid's toys, mom's gardening items, boots, coats, sporting goods, and extra grocery items. Many families hear, "I can't find my..." from dad on numerous occasions. According to American Demographics Society, Americans waste 9,000,000 hours per day searching for misplaced items.

So with 28% of consumers wanting their garage space to be better organized it makes a great gift for dad anytime of the year. Help dad organize his garage by thinking vertically. There seems to be a lot of wasted space on the walls in many garages. Hang one or two cupboard units on the wall with shelves for car wash supplies, gardening supplies, bird seed, and any other item that can fit into a cupboard. These can be found at any local home improvement store. Remember to label them so everyone knows where things are to be put away.

For bulkier items, put in a shelving unit and use see through containers such as milk crates or clear plastic bins so supplies can easily be seen and pulled out. Label these too. For longer items, such as extra boards, pipes, and rods, hang them from the ceiling using racks.

Many bike racks are available and hanging them from the ceiling during the off season helps keep the garage floor organized and clear for the cars. For shovels, rakes, and other long handled tools, buy the type of hanging rack that stacks them instead of hanging them individually. You will save space and it looks more organized.

A study by Harris Interactive showed 38% of individuals questioned indicated their garage was the messiest space in their home, so get out there and organize that garage for dad.

CD Wall Holder?

Hi I am looking for one of those CD Holders, that you hang or nail on the wall, and shows the album cover.
