A Hoover windtunnel vacuum comes in several different models of canister vacuums and upright vacuums. There are four models of the canister Hoover windtunnel vacuum without a bag. They range in prices from approximately two-hundred dollars to a little over three-hundred dollars. All of them feature an ultra-quiet bagless canister with a HEPA allergen washable filter and a twenty-five foot cord with foot pedal rewind. They have various attachments and all offer a one year warranty. The Hoover windtunnel vacuum T-Series also comes in four models and are all an upright vacuum.
They range in price from about one-hundred thirty dollars to about one-hundred sixty dollars. This series offers Hoover's windtunnel technology (as does the canister series) that has air passages that trap dirt and take it into the dirt receptacle. By doing this, the vacuum minimizes dirt scattering onto the floor or into the air that will eventually fall back onto the floor or furniture. All the models are lightweight and clean deep with great suction. The uprights have a fold-down handle that make them easy to store. The upright series also offers a no scuff bumper that protects your furniture when you push a little too hard or are careless when vacuuming. It has a system check indicator that will alert you when the filter needs to be cleaned or checked. One of the upright models offers a pet hair turbo tool for maximum cleaning power.
The Hoover windtunnel vacuum series are some of their most recent models, but Hoover has been a household name for decades. In 1907, a janitor working in a department store came to the conclusion that the carpet sweeper he was using on the floors was causing him to cough. He took a fan motor, attached it to a soap box stapled to a broom handle and he used a pillowcase as a dust collector. And in this manner, a portable and electric vacuum was invented. A year later, the janitor received a patent for his invention and formed The Electric Suction Sweeper Company. His cousin bought one of the vacuums and she just happened to be married to William H Hoover, who bought the patent and made the janitor superintendent of The Hoover Company. William Hoover came up with the idea of door to door salesmen and before they knew it, there was a Hoover vacuum in nearly every home in America.
The Hoover windtunnel vacuum has consistently done very well in product reviews. They are known to work very well on carpets and have many useful features. Most are very good at picking up pet hair. One of the models, the U8311-900 has some excellent features but be aware that it is a bit heavy, especially if you will need to carry it up and down stairs. If you live all on one level, it should not present a problem. With so many different models from which to choose, you are sure to find a Hoover windtunnel vacuum that will meet all your needs!

What is the recommended method for adjusting the control cable on a Hoover Windtunnel?
I have installed two new cables and both broke. The first one broke at the bottom where it connects to the control arm and the second cable broke on the top near the handle. The installation looks intuitive, however, it is not. There must be a technique or method for getting the adjustment correct without the cable breaking.
