These are the forests and trees we rely on to produce our oxygen and absorb greenhouse gases. Comparing the energy it takes to produce disposable bags, paper actually takes more energy to manufacture than plastic. Even when recycling, paper bags use more energy than plastic bags. Sadly, even though these bags can be recycled, the rate of recycling is low and the majority of bags are still produced from new paper.

Switching to reusable bags is a simple change that can minimize the use of natural resources, lessen the build up of waste, and slow down climate change. I am a Graphic Design student who designed a shopping bag for a class project and is in need of a custom made paper shopping bag with my design on it. The problem is that I only need one to show in my portfolio and most requite 25 or more to be printed at one time. Is there anyone online or in Kansas City who will print one custom paper shopping bag for me?

If it's paper, you could try to get a hold of a blank one at the store or supermarket, then stick it through your inkjet or laser printer. Or, you could try printing the design on a clear plastic transparency (available at Staples or Office Max) and you can spray mount it to the blank bag. OR, you could try printing on an iron on ink jet sheet, and iron the design onto the bag.
